BED BUG TREATMENT CHECKLIST / LISTA DE VERIFICACIÓN DE CHINCHES TRATAMIENTO
BEFORE YOU START THE FOLLOWING PREP, READ THIS IMPORTANT STATEMENT ABOUT FURNITURE!
Sometimes after examination of your sofa, recliner, mattress or box springs, we will find them to be completely infested with bed bugs and CAN NO LONGER BE SAVED. The technician may instruct you discard these items.
If you believe your items are too infested, Please remove and discard these items before we arrive to do the treatment. If you have decided to leave furniture matching this description in place and the technician finds they are infested and beyond saving, we will treat the items and recommend that it be properly discarded (do not put them on the curb) but it can effect the results of treatment.
Our technician is not permitted to move or remove furniture for tenant or property owner. We do not perform or complete the prep work described below.
We strongly advise that “Bed Bug encasement’s” be purchased and used for each mattress. These are available at Wal-Mart or Target, as well as multiple locations online. We cannot treat the mattress due to your safety, so it is crucial to have “Bed Bug encasement’s” on each mattress in your home. The Box spring should not need one as we can usually safely treat the box springs. Please have the encasement on the mattresses before your scheduled appointment.
Please understand that those who follow the prep list “COMPLETELY” are the most likely to see both better and faster results. There is no warranty on Bed Bug treatments, however if these steps are completed before we arrive and you follow the post treatment instructions, the treatment will work.
THE FOLLOWING IS A PREP LIST TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE WE ARRIVE. There are photo’s at the bottom of this page for your reference. If you skip any of this prep, you are wasting your time and money having us treat. We must be able to safely treat as much of the bedrooms and living room as possible. If there are toys, cords, paper, clothes etc. on the floors, we can’t treat that part of the room. If the beds are not taken apart, we can’t treat the frame. If the coach, recliner, etc. are not flipped over, we can’t treat the underside.
1.) THE BOX SPRINGS MUST BE COMPLETELY STRIPPED. IF THERE IS PLASTIC OR LINEN ON BOX SPRINGS, IT MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE WE TREAT.
REMOVE THE MATTRESS AND BOX SPRINGS FROM THE BED FRAMES AND STAND THEM UP AGAINST THE WALL OR TENT THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM; THE TECHNICIAN IS NOT PERMITTED TO DO THIS.
2.) ALL FLOORS IN ROOMS TO BE TREATED SHOULD BE COMPLETELY SWEPT AND VACUUMED. ALL CLOTHING, BELONGINGS, ETC, MUST BE REMOVED FROM FLOORS AND PLACED SOMEWHERE ABOVE THE FLOOR AND OUT OF THE WAY.
3.) UNLESS TOO HEAVY, ALL FURNITURE IN ROOMS WE ARE TREATING SHOULD BE PULLED AWAY FROM THE WALL AT LEAST 6 INCHES.
4.) ALL DRAWERS IN ROOMS BEING TREATED SHOULD BE EMPTIED AND LEFT OPEN SO THAT WE CAN TREAT INSIDE THEM.
5.) ALL CLOTHING, SMALL RUGS, BEDDING, ETC, SHOULD BE WASHED AND DRIED ON “HOT” SHORTLY BEFORE OR AFTER THE TREATMENT.
6.) ALL COACHES, LOVES SEATS, RECLINERS AND CHAIRS, NEED TO HAVE ANY REMOVABLE CUSHIONS AND PILLOWS OFF OF THEM AND PLACED OUT OF THE WAY. THEN HAVE COACHES, LOVES SEATS, RECLINERS AND CHAIRS FLIPPED OVER SO THAT WE CAN INSPECT AND TREAT THE UNDERSIDE.
Post treatment instructions: PEOPLE AND PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO RE-ENTER THE TREATED AREA’S UNTIL 2 HOURS AFTER TREATMENT IS COMPLETE.
It can take around 4-6 weeks for the Bed Bug population to noticeably diminish. Do not expect to immediately see results. If after 8 weeks you have activity, another treatment may be needed.
1.) It is important that nobody in the house changes their sleeping habits. Bed Bugs can live more than 18 months without feeding so if you sleep in other rooms, they will either sit dormant or will migrate to your new sleeping area. In either case this will affect the time frame of extermination.
2.) Do not use any cleaning products, pesticides, chemicals etc. (in the areas that we treated) until the Bed Bug infestation is eliminated. Do not vacuum, mop or clean flooring (in the areas that we treated) for at least 2 weeks after the treatment.

Recomendamos encarecidamente que se compren y se usen “encajes para insectos” para cada colchón. Estos están disponibles en Wal-Mart o Target, así como en múltiples ubicaciones en línea. No podemos tratar el colchón debido a su seguridad, por lo que es fundamental contar con “encajes para insectos” en cada colchón de su hogar. 2.) TODOS LOS PISOS EN LAS HABITACIONES A TRATAR DEBEN SER COMPLETAMENTE ALEJADOS Y VACANTES. TODA LA ROPA, PERTENENCIAS, ETC, DEBE RETIRARSE DE SUELOS Y COLOCARSE EN ALGÚN LUGAR SOBRE EL SUELO Y FUERA DEL CAMINO.
3.) A MENOS QUE SEA DEMASIADO PESADO, TODOS LOS MUEBLES EN LAS HABITACIONES QUE TRATAMOS DEBEN SER RETIRADOS DE LA PARED POR LO MENOS 6 PULGADAS.
4.) TODOS LOS CAJONES EN LAS HABITACIONES TRATADAS DEBEN VACIARSE Y DEJARSE ABIERTAS PARA QUE PODAMOS TRATAR DENTRO DE ELLOS.
5.) TODA LA ROPA, LAS PEQUEÑAS ALFOMBRAS, LA CAMA, ETC, DEBEN LAVARSE Y SECARSE EN “CALIENTE” DESPUÉS DEL TRATAMIENTO.
6.) TODOS LOS ENTRENADORES, AMAN ASIENTOS, RECLINADORES Y SILLAS, NECESITAN TENER ALGUNOS COJINES Y ALMOHADILLAS DESMONTABLES DESDE ELLOS Y COLOCADOS FUERA DEL CAMINO. ENTONCES TENEMOS ENTRENADORES, AMAMOS LOS ASIENTOS, RECLINADORES Y SILLAS VOLADOS PARA QUE PODAMOS INSPECCIONAR Y TRATAR EL LADO INICIAL.
Instrucciones posteriores al tratamiento: LAS PERSONAS Y LAS MASCOTAS NO PUEDEN VOLVER A INGRESAR A LA ZONA TRATADA HASTA 2 HORAS DESPUÉS DE QUE EL TRATAMIENTO SEA COMPLETO.
Puede tomar alrededor de 4-6 semanas para que la población de chinches disminuya notablemente. No espere ver resultados de inmediato. Si después de 8 semanas tiene actividad, puede ser necesario otro tratamiento.
1.) Es importante que nadie en la casa cambie sus hábitos de sueño. Los chinches pueden vivir más de 18 meses sin alimentarse, por lo que si duerme en otras habitaciones, se quedarán inactivos o migrarán a su nueva área para dormir. En cualquier caso, esto afectará el marco de tiempo de exterminio.
2.) No use ningún producto de limpieza, pesticidas, productos químicos, etc. (en las áreas que tratamos) hasta que se elimine la infestación de chinches. No aspire, trapee ni limpie el piso (en las áreas que tratamos) durante al menos 2 semanas después del tratamiento.
