WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY OF YOUR INSPECTION 🙂
On the day of your inspection, there is nothing requiring labor on the part of the occupant of the property. Our technician will greet you at the door and introduce themselves, and once you allow them in, they will let you know they are there to perform the Inspection. They will need a “Yes” or “No” answer to the following 2 questions;
#1 – ” Are you aware of any activity directly affecting the building from wood destroying insects since you occupied the building, until right now? “
“Yes” or “No”
#2 – ” Are you aware of any major repairs made to the building due to wood destroying insects since you occupied the building, until right now? “
“Yes” or “No”
Once the technician begins the inspection, 99% of the Inspection is INDOORS, but the outside will need to be inspected in its entirety, as well as the entire inside. No rooms can be locked and unavailable. Simply put, we need to be able to inspect the entire Inside and Outside of the building, to indicate on the report that a complete Inspection was done. Make sure any day sleepers or bed-ridden folks know we need to be in each room, even though it will be brief. If there are any seperate buildings such as a Garage or Tool Building, and they are part of the real estate transaction, they will need to be inspected inside and out, as well. Large exterior decks usually are required to be inspected as well, but are going to be part of the exterior phase of the inspection, unless the access to said deck(s) are only available from the inside.
Once the inspection is completed, and the technician has left the property, the completed report will be submitted to the office at the end of that business day. Special arrangements for getting a copy of this report the same business day must be made in advance with the office. We will make all efforts within our power to accommodate special requests for getting your copy of the report.
